Remodeling

Let us help you design and update your kitchen or bathroom into a custom space that reflects your personality and lifestyle.

From turning an office or den into a fully accessible first floor bedroom and bath for an elder family member, or creating more light with a new window, we will help you reconfigure your current floor plan to meet your family's needs.

Additions

Whether it's a great room, master bedroom suite, new kitchen, deck or roof top observatory, our skilled partners will help you design a project to meet your needs.

Your custom designed addition can fit with your current home or we can help you create a new look, inside and out.

Whole House Renovation

We worked closely with the owners to develop the overall vision and design of this 3,900 square foot home. While much was gutted, the original cape structure remains, with three bump-out additions and many unique, custom-made features.

With an emphasis on the unconventional, each detail, including material used, contributes to the overall visual impact of this home. Tile, stone, and a myriad of species of wood add depth and character.

One-of-a-kind beauty is provided by distinct interior elements such as a 1,500 bottle wine cellar built out of Spanish cedar, a staircase with hand-tooled baluster and railing, and custom tile bathroom with stone work emulating a waterfall.

Details such as curved walls and archways that soften corners create a sense of spaciousness as well as comfort.

This project provided immeasurable artistic and educational opportunities for our crew.

Great Room

This addition was designed for a good sized house in need of a "great" space with adequate seating for six.

The great room with cathedral ceiling creates a playful space for a party that's intimate without overwhelming guests.

The study-overlook on the second floor has floor to ceiling custom crafted bookcases and is private while remaining connected to the rest of the living space.

Other customized improvements include a master bedroom deck with greenhouse room, custom made doors, and a third floor crows' nest/observatory platform for star gazing.

Arts & Crafts Style Home

With this project, Harry Strand collaborated with Ross Calabrese and Kevin Rodel to convert a Colonial style home into an Arts and Crafts style in Randolph Vermont.

This 1903 Montpelier home was in need of some serious TLC. Paul and Joy brought us in to do the renovations and then put together this wonderful short video showing the whole process.

At Montpelier Construction we recognize that renovation and construction can be a disruptive and intrusive process. We work hard to adapt to our clients' needs around family, personal space, and scheduling, and we maintain the delicate balance of getting the work done while keeping everyone sane through the process.
